Project Details
The architectural form is defined by rectangular and square shapes, echoing the simplicity and harmony of old Kurdish settlements. Buildings are arranged in connected levels that encourage social interaction, symbolizing unity and a sense of belonging.
The landscape design continues this rhythm of repeating geometric forms, creating terraces, paths, and green spaces that mirror the architecture and invite people to gather. It’s a seamless dialogue between built form and nature, where every space supports connection and community life.
In the future
Regarding the preparation of the design of the project, the Minister of Municipality and Tourism, Mr. Sasan Awni, said: “The design of this project has been prepared by a team of local engineers, which is one of the recommendations and instructions of His Excellency the Prime Minister to beautify and develop our cities, relying on the capabilities of local engineers, companies and human resources.” I would like to take this opportunity to thank the architect Goran Koyi and the GK team of his engineering office who volunteered and prepared the design in a record time، as well as the architect Hamid Ahmed of the Erbil Municipality Presidency who cooperated. Sasan Awni congratulated the residents of Erbil and said: “On the occasion of laying the foundation stone of this project، we congratulate the people of Erbil in general and the residents of this area.
