Modern Elegance in Erbil - Ankawa
The exterior features a bold cantilevered structure composed of off-white travertine and charcoal composite panels, utilizing expansive double-height glazing to blur the line between indoor and outdoor spaces. Inside, the architectural focal point is a seamless white spiral staircase with an ornamental wrought-iron balustrade, set against a dramatic feature wall of book-matched Calacatta marble and dark, fluted wood panels with brass inlays. The design employs a layered lighting strategy, combining grand branch-like crystal chandeliers with modern magnetic track lighting set into deep-recessed tray ceilings. Furnishings follow a “New Classic” aesthetic, mixing low-profile modular sofas in textured grey and houndstooth fabrics with formal, gold-leafed velvet seating. The material palette is rounded out by large-format polished marble floors with black border inlays and floor-to-ceiling acoustic drapes, creating a space that is both structurally imposing and texturally rich.
